Small Biz Optimism Hovers Near All-Time High

The NFIB’s US Small Business Optimism Index remained near peak levels in September 2018.


The index contracted a bit to 107.9 in September from a record high of 108.8 in August, More companies expect improvements to real sales, current inventories and credit conditions.

This index has averaged 98.20  from 1975 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 108.80 Index Points in August of 2018 and a record low of 80.10 Index Points in April of 1980.
